  <title>The Universe as a Computation?</title>
  <link>http://jethereal.livejournal.com/450.html</link>
<description>I just got done reading a wonderful book by Rudy Rucker called &quot; The Lifebox, the Seashell, and the Soul&quot;. It explores the possibility that the universe and everything in it are computations. This idea is not new and was argued for strongly a few years ago by Stephen Wolfram in his book &quot;A New Kind of Science.&quot; However, Rucker does a great job of explaining the basic ideas behind this viewpoint and also why it may not be enough. More to come on this shortly.</description>
